Dale Howard Miller of Heath, Ohio, December 12, 1947 – April 7, 2017

A Celebration of Life service for Dale Howard Miller, 69, of Heath, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, at Christian Life Center, 665 Linnville Rd. SE, Heath, with Bishop T.L. Kirk and Pastor Chuck McClary officiating.  Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, where Military Honors will be conducted by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark. 
Dale passed away April 7, 2017, at The OSU East Hospital.  He was born December 12, 1947, in Lancaster, to the late John L. Miller and Regina Gladys (Bowman) Miller. 
Dale served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a member of Christian Life Center.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Rae (Allen) Miller; sons, Dale (Joan) Miller of Zanesville, Steven (Denise) Miller of Heath, and James (Dawn) Bryson of Newark; daughters, Amy (Troy) Lieber of Newark and Kimberly (Kai) Young of Newark; brother, Kenny (Diane) Miller of New Lexington sisters, Marlene Fisher of Glenford, Alicia (Tom) Colvin of Shawnee, and Debbie (Dana) Davis of Shawnee; 17 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and his former wife and mother of his children, Gloria Miller of Newark. 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his by his brothers, John and Leonard Miller, and brother-in-law’s, Don Fisher and Danny Woofter.

Doris Snively of Newark, Ohio, December 1, 1930 – March 31, 2017

A Celebration of Life service for Doris M. Snively, 86, of Newark, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Toboso United Methodist Church, 2364 Gratiot Rd, Newark.


Mrs. Snively died Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Arlington Care Center surrounded by her loving family.  She was born December 1, 1930, in Glencoe, Ohio, to the late Lew W. and Zella L. (Bumgardner) Bruce.


Mrs. Snively worked for many years in the family business Don’s Bike Shop, and later at Quality Farm and Fleet as a cashier and the Licking Valley schools as a cook.  She enjoyed bird-watching and gardening, the lost art of tatting, and collecting anything with a chicken motif.  She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. 


She is survived by her children Dennis (Debbie) Snively, of Newark, Dixie (Paul) Blackley, of Syracuse, NY, Diana (Mark) Christenberry, of Newark, Denise (Mike) Lieber, of Newark, and Darla Snively (Ed Phipps), of Zanesville; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, many nieces and nephews, and her granddog Barkley.  The family expresses special thanks to our mother’s caregivers Janie West and Nancy Davis.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald O. Snively, and one brother.     



In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made, in her name, to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd, Newark, Ohio, the Alzheimer’s Assocation, or the American Diabetes Association.
