Edna May White of Johnstown, Ohio, January 10, 1921 – August 31, 2017

A funeral service for Edna May White, of Johnstown, will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985, N. 21st Street, Newark, OH. Services will be officiated by Pastor David Pagura and burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Family will greet friends for two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Edna, age 96, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 10, 1921 to the late Harry and May (Callan) Keckley in Utica, OH.
Edna loved to garden and can her own produce. She was also a seamstress and an avid reader, but Edna gained the most pleasure from spending time with her family for dinner and singing. The best way to end a day of hard work, was hot dogs down by the creek.
Edna was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fredonia Chapter 350. She was very active in Liberty United Methodist Church and enjoyed teaching the children there.
Edna is survived by her children, John (Vicki) White, Phillip (Marcia) White, Marie Sanford and Charlotte (Wilbur) Vernon; grandchildren, Amy Camillo, Paula (Steven) Dunford, Jessica (Allen) Robinson, Donna White, Kelly White, William Sanford, Jason (Karrie) White, Daniel (Amy) White, and Troy Mallow; 16 great grandchildren; and siblings, Harold Keckley, Harvey (Eleanor Jo) Keckley, and Ruth (James) Elliott.
In addition to her parents, Edna is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard White; grandson, Dean White; a great-granddaughter, Natalie Elena and siblings, Harry Keckley, Dwight Keckley, Faye Carpenter, and Hazel Harvey.
