Aryawanna Kent of Newark, February 14, 1949 – November 4, 2017

Aryawanna Kent, age 68, of Newark, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017. She was born in Columbus on February 14, 1949, to the late William and Gladys (Kirk) Amos.

She is survived by her three children; daughter, Trenia Kent; sons, Kenneth (Crystal) Kent and A.J. Kent; nine grandchildren, Kytheena, Destiny, Deserae, Liam, Zachary, Austin, Ayden, Darling, Addison; a great granddaughter Dalyla; sister, Pat Price; and brother, Leroy Amos.

 In addition to her parents, Aryawanna was also preceded in death by her brothers, David, Carlos, and Bud.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Hospice of Central Ohio.

Chuck Abbott of Newark, Ohio, September 25, 1936 – October 18, 2017

A Memorial Service will be held for Chuck Abbott, 81 of Newark, on November 11th at 3pm at the Look Up Center, O’Bannon Ave, Newark. (previous Hazelwood School) with Pastor Jeff Smith officiating. A private family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Chuck passed away surrounded by his loving family on October 18, 2017 at Selma Markowitz Hospice Care Center. He was born September 25, 1936 in Newark, to the late Ray Abbott and Pauline (Kinser) Sprouse. 
Chuck was a devoted father and grandfather to his surviving children, Gina Pressley (Chris), Steve Abbott, Tom (Lynda) Abbott all of Newark and Brian (Gayla) Abbott of Grove City. Also 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren and his dog Gretchen, “his little girl”.
Chuck was a very giving man with his time; he raised 4 children by himself and was very supportive in their lives. He was a 1956 graduate of NHS. He retired after 45 yrs at NEP, loved coaching various sports, mentoring, OSU Buckeyes and above all a dedicated “Cubs” fan. 
In addition, Chuck was preceded in death by his High School Sweetheart, Janet L. (Marmie) Abbott, in 1973; 1 Brother and 4 Sisters.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Chuck’s name to The Foundation for Hospice of Central OH, PO Box 430, Newark, OH or The Licking Co Humane Society, Newark, OH.
