Jean B. Swisher of Newark, Ohio, December 27, 1924 – January 3, 2018

Jean B. Swisher, 93, of Newark, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born December 27, 1924, in Athens County, a daughter of the late Everett and Ruth (Osborn) Bingman.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Newark, where she was active in the women’s ministries for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Bruce) Kibler; her son, Chris (Ann) Swisher; her grandchildren, Brian (Julie) Kibler, Trevor (Amanda) Kibler, Drew Swisher, Dylan Swisher and five great-grandchildren; nieces, Carolyn (Dave) Myers, Martha (Tom) Gilbride and brother-in-law Harold and sister-in-law Clarice. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Glenn E. Swisher on January 5, 2007; one sister and one brother.
A private family service will be held at a later date, interment was in Wilson Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 65 N. 3rd Street, Newark, Ohio 43055.

Nora Mae Huffman of Newark, Ohio, January 8, 1928 – December 18, 2017

A memorial service for Nora Mae Huffman, 89, of Newark, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 15, 2018, at Sanctuary of Newark, 425 Senior Dr. E., with Anthony Payton officiating.  Also a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018, at First United Methodist Church Chapel, 88 N. 5th St. Newark, with Rev. Scott Campbell officiating.  Inurnment will be held at a later date in Northwood Cemetery in Cambridge.

Nora passed away December 18, 2017, at Licking Memorial Hospital.  She was born January 8, 1928, in Cambridge, to the late Otto M. and Mable (Archer) Hughey.

Nora worked at Mathew’s Ford, Wurlitzer Music Store and retired from Walmart.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Newark Federation of Musicians, and the Eastern Star. 

She is survived by her son, Stephen Huffman; grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) Huffman, Stephanie (Timothy) Olson, Michael Huffman, Martha, and Mark Huffman; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua, and Corey, and special friend, Donna Moore of Newark.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stuart Wallace Huffman, Sr.; sons, Stanley Huffman and Stuart Huffman, Jr., and brother, Raymond Hughey.

Audrey Fay Howard of Johnstown, ohio, July 20, 2017 – December 30, 2017

A funeral service for Audrey Fay Howard, 63, of Johnstown, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday at St. Louisville Freewill Baptist Church, 70 Sugar St., with Pastor Jerry Owens officiating.  Burial will follow in Fredonia Cemetery.  Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brucker and Kishler funeral home, 985 N. 21st St. Newark.

Audrey passed away December 30, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.  She was born July 20, 1954, in Salyersville, KY, to the late Hollie and Gladys (Smith) Williams.

Audrey was a member of the St. Louisville Freewill Baptist Church.  She was loved by all and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Melvin Howard, whom she married on October 3, 1970; children, Myrtle “Irene” (Bryan) Sidenstricker of Johnstown and  Charles (Valerie) Howard, Jr. of Pataskala; sister, Betty Ann Howard of Salyersville, KY and Kathy Harrow of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Cynthia “Marie” (Michael) Byers of St. Louisville, JoAnna Faye Davis of Newark, Mitchel Ryan Howard of Blacklick, and Rachel Morgan Howard of Pataskala, and great-grandchildren, Michael Gabriel Byers, Baylee Faye Byers, Leighton Scott Byers, Daniel Scott Davis, and Jacy Rose Davis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by granny, Cynthia Estep, brothers, Ernie Williams and Troy (Anita) Williams, and sister, Jo Williams.
