Betty Jane Loughner of Newark, Ohio, July 5, 1927 – July 2, 2018

Betty Jane Loughner, passed away Monday, July 2, 2018, three days before her 91st birthday, at her home.
She was born July 5, 1927, in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Harry James and Annie (Jones) Muir.
Surviving are daughter Tina (Lawrence) Waldren, grandsons, Lawrence Waldren and William Waldren and her brother, Leroy Muir and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband William Harry Loughner; her daughter Debra Loughner and her sister Eva Mae Akins of Blairsville, Pennsylvania and her brother Willis Muir of Newark, preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be planned at a later date.

Catherine Lyn Mras of Newark, Ohio, October 16, 1952 – July 1, 2018

A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Catherine Lyn Mras will be held at 1:30pm, on Friday, July 6, 2018, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, 732 Hebron Road in Heath. Pastor Kristin Santiago will officiate. All are welcome to attend a luncheon, at the church prior to the service from 12:30-1:30pm on Friday.
Catherine, age 65, of Newark, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born October 16, 1952, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Samuel and Betty (Johnson) Ruckman. She had a passion for children of all ages and had worked with children in many ways including for the Ohio CAP (Child Assault Prevention) program, traveling around the state. She had enjoyed music, art, cooking and traveling, but it was her family she treasured most. She was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church.
She was a kind and loving person to all and left to cherish her memory are her husband Gary; her children, Bethany (Brian) Avery, Michelle (Walter) Rudd-LaBarge, Jonathan Malone, Jacob Burell; her beloved grandchildren, Zelphia, Alexander, and Samantha Avery, Kayanna and Lillianna LaBarge, Haydon and Brody Malone; step-children, Amanda (Richard) Horst, Mark Mras; step-grandchildren, Matthew, Meghann and Hannah Horst and Kevin Mras.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund, P.O. Box 183204, Columbus, Ohio 43218-3204 (www.jfs.ohio.gov) in Catherine’s name.
