Laura “Lori” R. Graham of Newark, OH, May 11, 1958 – October 11, 2018

A funeral service for Laura Renee Graham, of Newark, will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11am at Neal Avenue United Methodist Church, 12 Neal Ave, Newark, OH. Family will greet friends on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Brucker Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st Street, Newark, OH. She will be laid to rest at Wilson Cemetery following the service.

Mrs. Graham, age 60, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Riverside Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1958 to Charles and Jacqueline (Lake) McDonald in Mt. Vernon, OH.

Lori is survived by her parents and her loving husband of 37 years, Joe Graham. She also leaves behind her daughters, Melissa Graham and Jessie Willard; grandchildren, Madyson and Tanner; siblings, Steve (Denise) McDonald, Mike McDonald, Lisa (Jeff) Barrett, and Anita (Kyle) Snow; brothers-in-law,  JD (Kelly) Graham and Jeff (Pat) Graham; nieces and nephews, Erin, Grant, Lacy, Chaz, Seth, Doren, Eden, Caleb, Elijah, Ella, Brian, Michael, and Dustin; special friends, Beth (Paul) Jones, Mary (Tod) Lindsey, Paula (Randy) Taylor, Carole Dodd and Larry Bartlett, and Marilyn (Vaughn) Klingler.

In her free time, Lori enjoyed quilting, gardening, and watching football with Joe. But more than anything she loved spending time with her grandkids, nieces, and nephews.

James R. Richards of Newark, December 3, 1931 – October 14, 2018

James R. Richards, 86, of Newark, died Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Flint Ridge Nursing Home. He was born December 3, 1931 in Newark to the late Walter and Mary (Cashdollar) Richards.

James was a member of Neal Ave. United Methodist Church. He worked at Holophane and retired after 43 years of service. He was an avid outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and playing softball. He was a member of the Eagles and American Legion. He loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and watching sports in his recliner.

He is survived by three daughters, Mary Martha Carpenter of Barnesville, Julia A. (Robert) Smith of Heath, and Vicki Smith of Coco Beach, FL; grandchildren, Amy Jo (Andrew) Hughes, Andrea Jean (Michael) Harriman, James Carpenter, Holli (Scott) Nauer,  and Amber Smith; great grandchildren, Gabby, James Jr., Madison, Joseph, Christopher, Kordell, Cooper, Ian, Adam, and Nikkole; great-great grandson, Nicholas; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Taylor Richards; sons, Rickie and Jimmy Richards; daughter, Sharon K. Richards; three brothers; and three sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and/or the Stephanie Spielman Breast Cancer Fund.

Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 PM at the Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St. where a service will be held at 7:00 PM immediately following visitation.
