Roderick “Rod” Moore of Columbus, July 1, 1946 – January 10, 2019

Roderick “Rod” Moore, age 72, of Columbus passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, after a two-and-a-half year battle with vascular dementia.  He was born on July 1, 1946 to the late William and Marion (Jardine) Moore in Ashland, OH.

Rod is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Baker) Moore. He also leaves behind his daughter, Tracey (Sean) LeFever of Dublin, OH; grandson, Wesley LeFever (Phyllicia Burton) of Dublin; sister, Jennie Plunkett of Maryland; and sisters-in-law, Carol Mansfield and Lori Baker.

Rod graduated from Ashland University, and was a member of the AU Athletic Hall of Fame. He was also an All American in Cross Country.

Rod was a physical education teacher for Heath City Schools, and an assistant football coach for the Bulldogs. Rod also worked at Park National Bank. In his free time, Rod enjoyed golfing, gardening, and rooting for the Tribe.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no services at this time.
